What this site hosts

This site hosts no game files. The game titles, screenshots, short recordings and artwork shown here belong to their respective owners and appear only to illustrate what the software does. Every game pictured on this site is homebrew, written by independent developers for old hardware and released by them.

Cartmark is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any game publisher, console maker or store named on these pages, and all trademarks are the property of their owners. Batocera, RetroArch, Windows, AYN and Thor, Steam, GOG, Epic, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Humble, Twitch, Amazon and the other names here are used only to say what the software connects to or runs on. Tailscale is a registered trademark of Tailscale Inc.; Cartmark uses the name only to describe the private link it can run over, and no affiliation is implied.

How the screens were made

Every screen and recording is real Cartmark. People's names, machine names and addresses have been replaced, and screens marked as from a test install show made-up names and games. Times are US Eastern. The figures on the Overview were read from one real library's own pages.

Rights holders

If anything on this site is yours and you would like it removed, it will be taken down promptly: nothing here is kept against its owner's wish. This site itself takes no messages; the way to reach the project is being set up, and this page will carry it.

What this site keeps about you

Nothing. The pages are static files. There is no sign-in, no form, no script, no cookie and no analytics. The site is served through Cloudflare, whose own terms cover the connection.
